OUR CORE SERVICES
Windsor Fire Protection District is committed to providing superior
emergency and nonemergency services to the community of Windsor. In fulfilling
our mission, the following services are provided in a progressive and
professional manner:
Fire Prevention
We provide fire prevention inspections,
preincident planning, enforcement of the Uniform Fire Code, National Fire
Prevention Association guidelines, and the Uniform Building Code, and we provide
community education in fire and life safety.
Fire Suppression, Rescue, Property Conservation
We provide
rapid response and effective fire suppression, rescue, and property conservation
services with the goal of reducing the impact of an emergency.
Emergency Medical Services
We provide emergency medical
services, working closely and effectively with local ambulance companies to
provide total prehospital patient care.
Disaster Planning and Response
We maintain an emergency
operations center, and we plan for and manage disasters.
Emergency Services Involvement
We are an active member of the
emergency services community, attending and supporting the fire chiefs'
association, fire prevention officers' association, the training officers'
association, the arson task force, participating in mutual and automatic aid
agreements, etc.
Customer Service
We embrace total customer service concepts:
Regard everyone as a customer, every situation as a service opportunity-always
considering what we do and how it looks to others. We develop and maintain
organizational behaviors that are customer centered, and continually work to
improve our service delivery and overall customer service performance.
We, as a team of highly skilled, devoted, and motivated
volunteer and paid fire service professionals, provide these services in a well
planned, cost-effective, efficient, and professional manner through the best use
of people, facilities, equipment, and training.
