Since March 2005 the Windsor Fire Protection District and Town of Windsor have been working together to come up with creative ways to fund a new westside fire station, additional full time firefighters and equipment to serve the growing demands for fire service within the Town.

To this end, the Town hired Citygate Associates, a highly respected consulting firm with extensive experience in fire district operations and financing to prepare a Strategic Plan for Financing and Operations in the Windsor Fire Protection District. Now the Fire District and Town are working together to implement the recommendation of the Citygate Associates Strategic Plan. Below is the complete Citygate Associates Strategic Plan:
