BOARD OF DIRECTORS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
April 17, 2007
The Board of Directors of the Windsor Fire Protection District
convened at Station 1, 8200 Old Redwood Highway, Windsor,
California, on Tuesday, April 17, 2007.
CALL TO ORDER: President McDowell called the meeting to order at
6:00 pm.
DIRECTORS PRESENT: Doherty, McDowell, Nelson, Olufs, Pozzi
STAFF PRESENT: Chief Ron Collier, Clerk of the Board; Battalion
Chief/Fire Marshal Matt Gustafson; Battalion Chief Joe Giordani;
Battalion Chief David Cornelssen; District Counsel William J. Arnone,
Jr.; and 13 guests
PLEDGE OF ALLIEGANCE
CHANGES TO THE AGENDA: None
CITIZEN PUBLIC APPEARANCE: None
BADGE PINNING CEREMONY: Engineer/Firefighter Jason Jones was
presented with his badge by President McDowell and Director Olufs,
and officially welcomed to the Windsor Fire team.
APPROVE MINUTES: 2007-04-01 A motion to approve the minutes of the
regular meeting of March 20, 2007, was made by Director Nelson and
seconded by Director Pozzi. 5/0/0
CORRESPONDENCE: 2007-04-02 Monthly payment statement and
miscellaneous correspondence were reviewed.
ACTION ITEM: 2007-04-03 A motion to approve the waiver of the
District’s special tax assessment on APN 110-240-034 was made by
Director Nelson and seconded by Director Doherty. 5/0/0
ACTION ITEM: 2007-04-04 A motion to adopt Resolution 310, repealing
Resolution 305 and Resolution 239 and eliminating Director financial
compensation was made by Director Nelson, seconded by Director Olufs,
and passed on a roll call vote. 4/1 (Doherty)/0
BOARD COMMITTEE REPORTS
Budget Committee (McDowell & Pozzi): President McDowell reported the
preliminary budget will be on the May 2007 regular meeting agenda.
Labor Negotiations Committee (Nelson, Doherty, Arnone; Olufs
Alternate) Report will be made during closed session.
DISTRICT COUNSEL REPORT: Will be presented in closed session.
OPERATIONS REPORT: Chief Gustafson presented the Operations Report.
DIRECTOR COMMENTS/REPORTS: None
CLOSED SESSION: 6:50 pm

RETURN FROM CLOSED SESSION: 8:40 pm—Mr. Arnone reported direction
had been given to committee members and staff; no action was taken.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business before the Board, on a
motion by Director Pozzi, seconded by Director Doherty, and
unanimously approved, the Board adjourned at 8:41 pm.
NEXT REGULAR BOARD MEETING: Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at 6:00 pm.
