BOARD OF DIRECTORS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
January 20, 2009
The Board of Directors of the Windsor Fire Protection District
convened at Station 1, 8200 Old Redwood Highway, Windsor,
California, on Tuesday, January 20, 2009.
CALL TO ORDER: President McDowell called the meeting to order at
6:01 pm.
DIRECTORS PRESENT: Brolan, McDowell, Nelson, Pozzi
DIRECTORS ABSENT: Doherty
STAFF PRESENT: Ron Collier, Clerk of the Board; District Financial
Assistant Trisha Laugle; and two guests
PLEDGE OF ALLIEGANCE
CHANGES TO THE AGENDA: Second-listed Closed Session removed from
this Agenda
CITIZEN PUBLIC APPEARANCE: None
APPROVE MINUTES: 2008-01-01 A motion to approve the minutes of the
December 16, 2008 regular meeting was made by Director Nelson and
seconded by Director Pozzi. 4/0/0
CORRESPONDENCE: 2008-01-02 Monthly payment statement and
miscellaneous correspondence were reviewed.
REVIEW ITEM: 2008-01-03 The Board reviewed the mid-year budget
report.
BOARD COMMITTEE REPORTS
Prior to committee reports, President McDowell changed the Board
committees from “standing” committees to “ad hoc” committees.
• Budget Committee: None
• Labor Negotiations Committee: Report in closed session.
DISTRICT COUNSEL REPORT: None
OPERATIONS REPORT: Chief Collier presented the operations report.
DIRECTOR COMMENTS/REPORTS: Director Brolan thanked staff for work
put into budget report. Director Pozzi complimented the 2009 WFPD
calendar.
ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION: 6:45 PM
RETURN FROM CLOSED SESSION: 7:15 PM President McDowell reported no
action was taken; instruction was given to agency negotiators.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business before the Board, on a
motion by Director Pozzi, seconded by Director Brolan, and
unanimously approved, the Board adjourned at 7:16 pm.
NEXT REGULAR BOARD MEETING: Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 6:00 pm.
