Windsor Fire Hosts Toy Drive Barrels
Windsor CA – The Windsor Fire Protection District wants you to know
that Toys for Tots barrels and Kiwanis toy collection barrels are
available in the lobby of Windsor Fire Protection District Station 1
on Old Redwood Hwy at Hembree. Those who wish to donate new,
unwrapped toys should drop by Monday-Friday, between 8:00 am and
5:00 pm.
It is important to note that only new, unwrapped toys can be
accepted. Those wishing to donate gently used toys should direct
them to other charitable organizations such as Salvation Army,
Volunteers of America, etc.
Donations were down significantly last year, a trend we hope to see
reversed this year. There are a great many children in Windsor, in
the midst of plenty, who would not find a toy under the tree on
Christmas morning if it weren’t for the efforts of Toys for Tots
Fire Chief Ron Collier sees it this way: “We at the fire department
are privileged to help our neighbors who wish to share their good
fortune with those less fortunate, creating a happier holiday season
for all.”
