CAPTAINS

Chad Costa is a Forestville native who began his fire service career as a volunteer with Forestville Fire Protection District. He graduated from the Santa Rosa Junior College fire academy in 2000. Chad served 3 seasons as a CDF seasonal firefighter, commencing in 1999. He was hired as a residential firefighter by the Sonoma Valley Fire Authority in 1999 and promoted to engineer in 2002. He joined Windsor Fire as a fire engineer in 2003. We were very pleased to promote Chad to fire captain in 2007.

Mike Elson began his fire service career in 1983 as a volunteer firefighter in Rohnert Park. In 1985 he was hired as a firefighter by Bodega Bay Fire Protection District and promoted through the ranks to the rank of Battalion Chief. He served with Bodega Bay until he joined Windsor Fire in February 2008. Mike also serves as a volunteer fire captain with the Sebastopol Fire Department and as a reserve police officer with the Sebastopol Police Department.

Aron Levin grew up in Danville, California. He joined Paradise Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter and graduated from the Butte College Fire Academy in 1998. In 2000 Aron was hired as a firefighter by the Humboldt Fire Protection District, and was promoted to engineer in 2004. Aron joined Windsor Fire as a captain in 2007.

Jason Piloni is a Santa Rosa native who began his fire service career as a Rincon Valley Fire Protection District volunteer in 1994. He graduated from the Santa Rosa Junior College fire academy in 1998. In 1999 Jason was hired by the Windsor Fire Protection District as a part-time employee; he was hired as a full time fire engineer in 2000. We were very pleased to promote Jason to the rank of fire captain in 2007.

ENGINEERS

Heath Lesik was born and raised in western Sonoma County. He joined Bodega Bay Fire as a volunteer firefighter in 2001 and was hired as a full-time firefighter in 2003. He served with Bodega Bay Fire until November 2007, when he was hired as a fire engineer at Windsor Fire.

Tom Rathbun is a Santa Rosa native. In 1992 and 1993 he was an explorer with the Sonoma County Search & Rescue. Tom graduated from the Santa Rosa Junior College Fire Academy in 1995. In 1999 he was hired by the Eureka Fire Department as a firefighter and promoted to Engineer in 2004. He was hired as a fire engineer at Windsor Fire in November 2007.
